The ECD allows processing of the high frequency components of cetacean echo-location signals using an envelope detection method. Frequency band selection is made via onboard switches. This is combined with an ultra-low noise preamplifier on a single board providing an ideal tool for echo-location signal studies

LNP1: Low Noise Preamplifier

The LNP combines a high order band-pass filter with a low noise preamplifier and onboard gain selection making it ideal for a variety of applications. The design is implemented using surface-mount technology providing a highly compact design with low power consumption.
